Question:

Tennessee Motorcycle Permit?

I'm 14 and I was reading the Tennessee Motorcyle Manual from the DMV and it said that you could be 14. Is there a catch? Or do I have to be 15 for a permit? It's sort of confusing me.

  1. You can be 15 for a learners permit, but to get the actual license, you must be 16.

    What your talking about is the Class M (limited) license that must meet these requirements

        * Be at least age 14

        * Operate only two or three-wheeled vehicles with no more than 125 cc cylinders

        * Operate only between 4 a.m. and 8 p.m. (if between the ages of 14 and 16)

        * Operate only within seven miles of your home (if between the ages of 14 and 16)

        * Comply with the restrictions set forth by the Examiner (if 16 or older)
