Tennessee Titans coach Mike Munchak backs LT Michael Roos’ return vs Chicago Bears – NFL News
The Tennessee Titans are in dire on the offensive line in absence of key players due to respective injury scares and a possible return of left tackle Michael Roos this Sunday (November 04) versus visiting Chicago Bears is expected to compensate them for
the loss of so many players to an extent.
It does not bode well to the hopes of the Titans of doing better during the rest of the season given their four offensive linemen are on the sidelines pending recovery and rehab.
This is in addition to Roos who missed out the last week due to an appendectomy procedure. He hopes to return to the side for the forthcoming weekend game.
He said:
"I always want to be out there. It was definitely weird to miss one. I'm definitely looking forward to getting back out there and get back with the group and see how well we can play against them."
Coach Mike Munchak has backed the LT’s ambitious plan for comeback and said that the player's aim is credible as far as his return for the weekend game is concerned.
Mike said:
"He's a guy that usually rallies and can play. We should have him back. Probably the only position will be right guard."
The coach did not draw an encouraging picture as far as comeback of the rest of the players is concerned. He said they were day-to-day and will be evaluated as the season progresses.
Other injured players are left guard Steve Hutchinson (concussion), right guard Leroy Harris (injured knee), centre Fernando Velasco (concussion), and right tackle David Stewart (knee injury). Among them Hutchinson is the only player who has not been listed
in the injuries list.
Munchak said of their situation:
"Guys are so different with knees and how they respond to them. Now it's more of a day-to-day to see where he's at and then we can figure it out. He'll definitely be playing again here sooner rather than later."
The Titans are struggling to come out of the persistent sluggish form. With the record of 3-5 and so many injuries on the roster, the rest of the season is likely to be less promising as far as their playoff hopes are concerned.
