Tennessee Titans head into Green Bay Packers with several injuries on hand – NFL News
The Tennessee Titans are heading for the Green Bay Packers’ game this Sunday (Dec. 23) without about half a dozen key players who are carrying respective injuries.
In an injury update, the team said a couple of them might be able to make the game, although their questionable status will make very hard for them to participate. A majority of them have missed Friday’s practice and there is a little hope they can be considered
a game-time call.
The most notable amongst them is wide receiver Kendall Wright. He has hurt his rib, missing third straight practice this week and the team does not seem having a hope for his comeback this weekend.
As per update, Wright has been listed as questionable along with players, and it will be a major surprise if shows up for the game.
Other players are linebacker Colin McCarthy, defensive end Scott Solomon and wide receiver Damian Williams. McCarthy has suffered a concussion, while Solomon has hurt his knee. Williams is recovering from a hamstring. All of them have been listed as questionable
and can hardly be expected on the field.
McCarthy in fact is on the course to miss third straight game, and season is only a game away to be over for him. It is difficult for him to recover quickly from concussion, and if he is experiencing concussion like symptoms, he should hope for an action
next season now.
Another player who missed training this week is cornerback Ryan Mouton. He also has a hamstring problem and is almost out of the season now.
The Titans meanwhile have confirmed that centre Kevin Matthews will not play the Packers’ game this Sunday. He is recovering from a high ankle sprain.
With so many injuries on the offensive and defensive lines, there is little hope that the Titans can easily avoid having a direct impact on their performance, irrespective of the fact that a win or loss matters little now as far as their progression beyond
the regular phase of the season is concerned.
They are already out of the playoffs and with win of remaining two games can only improve their record to an extent.
