Tennessee Titans innovate ticket packages to boost sales – NFL News
The Tennessee Titans have brought some innovation to their ticket sales packages, offering fans the half-season ticket purchase option for the first time.
Earlier the team had two packages on offer: the single-game option and full-ticket purchase choice. The management has recently decided to introduce an alternative to these two and have made available the half-season tickets on the sale.
Don MacLachlan, the executive vice president, who confirmed this to a section of media recently, said the tickets offered under the newly introduced package will be for the upper deck of their stadium.
The official said the management aims to sell up to 800 tickets under the package. He did not elaborate the reason behind the introduction of the third option.
He said:
“The rationale we used is that we heard some feedback from fans that are going through the renewal process (and saying) they were interested in supporting the team, but didn’t want a full-season ticket or couldn’t afford a full-season
ticket. But on the other hand, they wanted to buy more than single-game tickets.”
Titans are another team who have looked at the need of building a long-term fan base. The Jacksonville Jaguars have recently disclosed they are aiming for a solid fan base, and were quite successful in the sales of the tickets.
MacLachlan is hopeful of selling tickets for all games. He said:
“We sold out all the games last year and are confident we will again this year. But last year we had to wait to get a few games moved, so this year we took a proactive stance."
According to the official, the half-season package was introduced on past Wednesday and since then they have managed to sale about 50 tickets.
He has expressed great optimism to sell out the entire ticket stock before commencement of the regular season, adding he does not see the team’s fans turning their backs on them.
The Tennessee Titans have done well during the past season with coach, Mike Munchak, into first year of his stint, and are hoping to perform even better this year.
They were just unlucky to have missed on the playoff opportunity but otherwise looked impressive on the field, as acknowledged by the owner, Bud Adams and others.
