  1. Check my question on how Federer can keep his #1 ranking and whether or not he can.

If Federer can pull off winning the Rogers Cup, Cincinnati and Madrid, and the U.S. Open he probably will keep his #1 ranking, but that's not easy to do.

  2. yes i think he will stay top because he fights back when he is losing.

    and Federer forever!!! =)

  3. I'm  a huge Fed fan. It does look like Roger may lose his ranking over the hardcourt season, however, if he does I believe he will gain it back pretty quickly. It will be interesting to see how Nadal goes on hardcourt cos I think we tend 2 forget how much worse he is on hardcourt than other surfaces around this time of yr- which is understandable, hes a different player on grass and clay.

I don't think he is in a worrying decline, prob a slight decline to do with age but nothing out of the ordinary and nothing that means he cant win many more grand slams. Despite Nadal winning 2day, Fed was absolutly amazing and I believe he will win the US and many more if he keeps playing like that. He has obviously bounced back alot from the start of the yr when he got sick. I also believe that nothing should be read from that loss in the French, he tried a new tactic that didn't work  and Rafa was very good.

  4. yes he will. they already said that. the thing is, he is not having a bad couple of months, he made it to the wimbledon finals for pete's sake! i think he is in the middle of his career but not the decline yet. i like them both. they are both amazing tennis players although federer has much more experience.

  5. I predict that Nadal will beat him in Wimbleton

  6. he would remain no. 1

  7. yes, federe is the best player of all the times

  8. Because of also losing the French, it's a possibility that Federer will lose the #1 ranking.

But NO, I don't think he's on the decline.  He's an awesome player and I wouldn't be surprised if he wins at least 4 more Wimbledons, and god knows how many more majors.

I like them both almost equally, but I was very happy to see Rafa win today.  It was a great match, one for the ages.

  9. Rafa still has to win a couple more tourneys to gain the number 1 spot but i wouldnt doubt seeing him at the US open as number 1. And i think hes healthier this year than he was last year.

Federer will remain at the 1 spot only if he wins at the saame rate as nadal or else he will lose his ranking. Im not so sure if his career is at a decline just yet but i dont think the world will know until after the Aussie open of next year. If he loses a lot of titles between now and then including the Majors then i think he will be at a decline but if he wins 1 of the 2 majors then i think he may still have a little more time. But djokovic is still in the picture on hard courts and i think Nadal has already passed him on grass after federer had to step up a little for nadal today and if he gets better on the hard courts then Federers career will def be done.

  10. Federer because he won more Grand Slam Tiles then Nadel and also he only needs 2 more Grand Slam Tiles to hold the record. No he will become number 2 in the world because he didn't win a Grand Slam Tile this year.

  11. Yes.

Federer is the best player of all-time so no one should be writing him off.

  12. I like Nadal.

I think Nadal will take over the number one position after two straight title wins versus Roger.

I do not think Roger is over and done because of this he will still be in contention for all major events and is still a great player.

  13. When is getting to the Semifinals of one major and the finals at the other two, means someone is having a bad year? Okay I understand what you mean. However everyone predicted Nadal to win Wimbledon this year, so are we really that shock that Roger lose? And judging from that close scoreline of that match, can we truly, justifiably say that Roger LOST that match? I don't know. Yes he lost but it's not like Nadal blew him off the court as predicted by so many.

I am positive that he will rebound from this defeat and go on to win the Rogers masters, Olympics and the US Open later this year.

  14. Federer is an amazing player. I like both, but favor Federer's style. He has more control. Rafael got under his skin this year. Same with reporters. They keep asking idio tic questions and put pressure on him, which he doens't deserve.  Roger is an amazing player, he broke almost every record in the book. I was hoping he'd break another and win it 6 times or even 7 times in a row!  Maybe next year will begin another streak.

    He is FAR from over.
