Question:

Tennis Elbow problems and Tennis Strings.?

Okay first off i'm a small kid at 5 feet.

I use the Babolat Aeropro Drive Cortex Racquet. (Nadal Racquet)

I string it at 58 with Luxilon Big Bangers Alu Power.

I have wrist problems now because the string is so powerful and control king but is my favorite strings because i only play well with them so far.

Would Stringing it down to a 54-56 tension be better?

Can anyone reccomend a more arm forgiving string but with the same excellence as the Luxilons?

What should i do about my wrist and elbow pain?

  1. A Hybrid would solve it!!!!

Use Your luxilon on the Mains, and a softer string on the crosses, eg Babolat conquest, or exel, Or a natural gut!

  2. i had the same problem but it was because of the way i was hitting the ball an holding the raquet. i would rap my wrist when i would go out to play tennis. and try switching to  natural gut string it hit way smoother than anyother strings.

  3. Might have something to do with technique. Doesn;t matter what you hit with, bad technique will kill your wrist/elbow/shoulder. If you can only hit with Luxilon, theres really nothing soft that would replace the feel and control of it. Stringing it down might be optimal, but I suggest more of a 50-52 lb range. 5 foot tall kids should not be playing with polys at 58lbs in my opinion.
