Tennis Gym Workout?

Hello -

does anyone know of any workouts I could do in the gym to help me for tennis? Like weight lifting?running?anything?

  1. ok so i do...

    tennis 4 times a week for 2 hours each time

    run long distance-5k-3 days a week

    25 push ups a day

    100 situps a day

    i don't lift weights i am 14 grl, but u could do that like 3 times a week

    footwork drills-sprints, reaction time, medicine ball, suicides

    yup! i do that.

    i am top 50 in the nation for G14s tennis :) it's intense


  2. Play a looootttttt of tennis

    Core work is the most important

    Legs next

    Upper body should be with light weights or just resistance

    I don't believe in long distance running for tennis but some people disagree. Maybe run a sprint (100-200m max), rest, then repeat a few times. I sometimes sprint hills also.
