  1. I can't recommend any specific racquet cause the same racquets have different feels for all types of players.

What I can recommend though is the head size and weight you should be looking at for you.

Headsize: 98-105sq in. (midplus or larger)

    Weight: 12oz or lighter

I recommend looking at www.tenniswarehouse.com or www.midwestsports.com for a good selection. You get better deals online (on both racquets and strings) and a more reliable stringer. The stringers the you find at your local sporting good (d**k's Sporting Good, Sport Authority, etc.) store don't usually have experienced tennis personal stringing racquets.

Good luck with finding a new racquet and I hope you will continue to have good success playing!

  2. It is hard to say because everyone is different and you need a racquet that suits your style of play. You should go into a sports or tennis store that strings and sells racquets (don't go to a BIg 5 type store) and ask if they have loaners.  You can usually try them out for a week or more.  Buy the racquet that you feel best with, and make sure you test it on the courts!  I payed 200 dollars once for a racquet that I hated!  You can also go online...places like tenniswarhouse.com or holobird.sports.com have programs where you can get loaners and send them back.
