What consists in this drill, I see it all the time in tennis where players go through a warm-up drill with one another before they play

  1. I think you're talking about the pre-match warm-up.

Here's the general routine I use.

    1. Engage in a light rally with your opponent, at a light pace, and not going for winners, trying to keep the rally going as long as possible.

    2. One player should come up to the net, and the other should feed shots for that player from the baseline to warm-up his/her volleying. Rinse and repeat after switching players at the net and baseline.

    3. Next, one player should hit lobs so the other can practice overheads, or smashes. Switch roles and repeat.

    4. Stand on the same side on opposite sides of the court (same sides meaning - deuce sides same, and ad sides same), and hit serves, switch to the other side and serve.

    5.Start the match.

    Hope this helps!
