  1. A slice is when you are getting ready to hit the ball and it goes off the frame of your racquet. This usually happens when you take your eye off the ball before you make contact with it.

A slam is when you hit the ball real hard on the opposite side of the net and it bounces to where the person you are playing cant get to it

A volley is when you hit the ball before it bounces on your side of the court. you can hit this shot best when you charge the net and the person you are playing against hits a weak ball over the net.

  2. Slice- A shot that gives backspin (or sidespin) to the ball instead of topspin from a typical swing. In a slice, you brush the ball from high to low instead of low to high over your shoulder to give it backspin instead of topspin. The backspin is suppose to keep the ball "floating in the air" and bounce really low (even to the point of bouncing backwards or off to the side). It is a very defensive shot.

Overhead Slam- is when you strike the ball over you head like you would on a serve. It is the same thing as a serve execpt that it is used during a game when the ball is being lobbed high up in the air.

Volley- is when you "block" the ball, not hit it, before the ball bounces. Half-volleys are the samething except that you make a short swing immediately after the ball just bounced off the ground.

  3. volley is when u hit it in the air before it bounces, slam basically you hit it really hard, slice is a certain way of holding your racket when u hit it-hard to explain (: hope this helps

  4. In tennis a slice is when you hit it more to the side of the racket(i think) and slam is when you hit it really hard one to the tennis court and a volley is when you hit it without a bounce closer to the net

and if you wonder what a lobe is, it is when you hit it over the other person when they just done a volley but it is still in

    hope it help =)

  5. Slice - A shot hit with both backspin and sidespin; as a verb, to hit such a shot.

Slam/Smash - An overhead shot that is hit very hard and down into the opponent's side of the net.

Volley - A shot on which the ball is hit before it bounces. As a verb, to hit such a shot.

Thats as detailed as i can really make my answers!

  6. A slice is a ball that's hit with a rotation opposite of top spin. The slice slows down the speed of the ball mainly as a defensive move to get back into position, used as a approach shot, and change the pace of the match. A slam mainly called a smashed is like how volleyball players spiked the ball its the same concept but used to finish off a poor defensive lob that the opponent hit. A volley is a when you hit in front of the service line to finish off the point.

  7. A slice is when you hit under the ball and create under spin. Normally people hit over the top of the ball and this creates topspin. But using a slice is a good change of pace. A volley is when you are usually close to the net and hit a ball out of the air (no bouncing). A slam could be someone hitting a really hard shot. For example: He slammed the shot down line, or hit a slam overhead. It could also be referred to as a grand slam, which is the 4 biggest tournaments in professional tennis (wimbledon, french open, us open, and australian open).
