Tennis Racquet?

I'm looking for good tennis balls (pink if possible) and a good tennis racquet. I like the Wilson ones, but I don't know if they are good. I'm only 14 and I just began playing. I'm looking for ones online, but I don't know what ones are good for me. I see All-Around Racquets, Game Improvement Racquets, Performance Frames, Recreational Racquets, Junior Racquets, and I don't know what one is good for me. Can you please help me, and please tell me where I can buy some for pretty cheap. Thank you all. :)

  2. 4 racquet it must be WILSON.Its really good.

  3. hi, Got this mail from my friend(has been playing tennis for years)

Just pasting it below. you can go thru if interested.

In one sentence, go with a light racquet (because of our body frame), more head size.

If possible, take some tennis lessons. Otherwise do good study about grips and some exercises before starting to play. otherwise there is chance of ending up with wrist, elbow pains. I have seen enough of them to advise that to you.

Tennis warehouse is a good site :

    http://www.tennis-warehouse.com/

There are lot of other sites. once you decide on racquet, you can buy them at any place. may be at that site or ebay or any sports store. you probably get good deals if you buy it here.

Let me know if you need anything.

    Three types:

    1. Power or Game improvement racquets(Beginners): ( oversize, lighter, more power)

    a. Head Titanium Ti.S6 Racquets     : 115sq.in    :8.9oz    :$75

    b. Wilson n1 nCode Racquets         : 115sq.in    :9.1oz    :$120

    c. Babolat Drive Oversize Racquets    : 110sq.in    :10.1oz    :$199

2.Tweener(Intermediate): (midplus size, somewhat lighter, some power and some control)

    d. Head Flexpoint 4 Racquets    : 107sq.in    : 10.3oz     : $150

    e. Yonex RDS 003 Racquets     : 100sq.in    : 11.1oz    : $170

    f. Babolat AeroPro Drive Cortex Racquets: 100sq.in    : 11.3oz    : $185

    g. Wilson nTour nCode Racquets    : 95sq.in    : 10.7oz    : $90

    3.Control or Players racquets(Advanced):

    h. Wilson nSix-One Tour 90 nCode    : 90sq.in    : 12.4oz    : $159

go with stable, low vibration and lower weight.

String : Ashaway Crossfire 17 Kevlar String

Things to consider in a racquet:

    Head Size:

    Beginners: 115 sq.in

    Intermediate: 95-110 sq.in

    Advanced: 85-90 sq.in

    Length:

    from 27 to 29 in. generally 27in.

    Weight and Balance:

traditional, head-light, heavy racquets 11-13 oz, more control, less power, less maneuverability

new head-heavy, lighted racquets 9-11 oz, less control, more power and maneuverability

    Frame stiffness:

stiffer racquets, less energy loss on ball contact but less control and comfort(more power = less control),

less spin also as ball leaves quickly from string bed(contact time usually is 3-5 millisecs).

    Hope this helps... :)

  4. Wilson and Prince are good  racquets (junior)Look for Wilson or Penn heavy duty tennis balls.

  5. hi, wilson is quit good . but you should try head rackets.

  6. As someone said, if you just began to play, or if your an advanced tennis player, tennis warehouse is great. Tennis warehouse also has some clothing I think, where you can get a skirt. Tennis warehouse should have the pink tennis balls. as well. Even though you are getting the racket online, you should probably go into a store first to get a feel of the rackets. Hope this helps :D

P.S. thank you for responding to my question 2 ;P

  7. tenniswarehouse.com

Wilson racquets are pretty good. I'd look for game improvement racquets or racquets that've won some award.
