The World Number two, Roger Federer was off to a flier with his title defence in the first round match against Lukas Lacko winning in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1, and 6-3.
In the opening match of the 2011 Australian Open, the defending champion Roger Federer broke the Czech in an hour and 24 minutes to move into the second round. So far, it had been a swift sailing for the Swiss Marstro at the Rod Laver Arena.

Federer made up for the last game mistakes and allowed the demoralized Lukas make plenty more beating him 6-1, 6-1, and 6-3.
The Swiss Ace, the biggest threat to Rafael Nadal to win his fourth Grand Slam in a row, is eyeing a straight 17th Grand Slam. Federer would be highly determined and resolute with four of his past five tournaments won under the new co-coach Paul
Annacone.
Federer’s sublime form in the opening game sent a strong message to his rivals a about his aims to the title with his fine start of defence.
