Tennis Update: Andy Murray suffered a crushing defeat in Valencia Open
The current world number twenty five tennis ace from Argentina, Juan Monaco has beaten the British number one tennis star Andy Murray to qualify for the last eight stages of the Valencia Open tennis event.
The top seeded for the competition Andy Murray looked slightly out of touch during the match. Monaco played a remarkable game and made his Scot veteran rival suffer. It was a three setter stamina throbbing match between the two tennis giants.
The twenty three years old Briton started the match with some very ordinary game of tennis. Murray seemed a bit out of touch and his bleak efforts gave some easy chances to the Argentinean. It was not a good day for the current world number four, as his
second service in the first set was brilliantly broken by Monaco, which leaded to the victory in the first set of the match for him.
The Briton seemed to struggle as he was not able to serve well. Murray made mistakes at some crucial stages of the match. The second set of the match was also not a good set for the twenty three years old but in the second set, Murray displayed a better
game as compared to the first set of the match.
From the start of the second set, the Scot suffered bad luck as Monaco broke his serve in the first game. However, Andy held his nerves quite tremendously and broke Monaco in a strong response. Later the current world number four displayed his brilliance
quite well and showed Juan Monaca some of his smashing capabilities.
Despite of winning the second set of the match, Briton seemed to struggle with the serve and failed to clutch the right momentum for the victory. On the other hand, Juan Monaco was in no mood of bowing out from the match as well.
The Argentinean showed his class and talent in a very blunt manner. Monaco served staggeringly well throughout the match. In the third and decider set of the match, Juan broke the serve of Murray and grasped the control of the set. The world number twenty
five broke the Briton for the second time in the decider set and carded a marvellous victory.
After the match, the twenty three years old Andy Murray seemed pretty upset and disappointed about his performance. The British veteran expressed his thoughts and told the media that it was not his day and it was a very well deserving victory for the Argentinean.
The Scot praised and admired the game of Juan Monaco and told the media that Monaco is a great player as he held the control of the match pretty well. Andy added and said that Juan is a great talent and the way he has played was truly brilliant.
While talking about the current playing form of Juan Monaco, Andy Murray told the media that Monaca has been out of the tennis court because of some injury issues but now he has shown his class and talent like never before and he has done a staggering job.
Andy also added that Juan does not make too many faults during the match and it is very difficult for anyone to win against him and to beat Monaco, it is important for a player to give his full in the match.
Andy Murray will continue his campaign in the doubles event of the tournament. It is to be notified that Murray is coupling with his brother Jamie Murray in the doubles event of Valencia Open. The British pair will now face the Argentinean pair of Eduardo
Schwank and Ignacio Chela in their next match. After participating in the ongoing Valencia Open tennis event, the British ace will move to participate in the Paris Masters tennis event before competing in the (Association of Tennis Professionals) World Tour
tennis tournament.
