Tennis Update: Murray confirms Corretja as the coach for the next tennis season
The British number one tennis star Andy Murray has recently confirmed that he will be trained by the Spanish former tennis star Alex Corretja for the next year.
It is to be acknowledged that Andy Murray was searching for a tennis coach to get trained for next year and it seems like the former world number two Alex Corretja is the perfect option for the English tennis veteran Andy Murray. Alex has been working with
Andy Murray since July when the British tennis ace Andy Murray split from his former coach Miles Maclagan.
The current year was certainly one of the best years in Andy Murray’s tennis career as this year the Briton displayed the best of his game like never before. Moreover, his performance remained very dominant and consistent during the year. Coaching a world
class player like Andy Murray is never too easy and Alex Corretja will have to give his best to improve the fitness level as well as the performing level of the current world number four.
Andy Murray was searching for the best coach for himself and therefore the twenty three years old contacted the former British tennis star Tim Henman and Darren Cahill for the job but no one seemed to be interested in training the veteran Scot.
Earlier this summer, Murray had expressed his need for a proper training coach and so far he had not been able to find the best option for him and that is probably the reason of his selection of the Spaniard Corretja. According to many sports and tennis
critics Alex is probably the best option to coach Andy Murray, as he has been working with the Briton since July and both the tennis stars are very well aware of each other’s habits.
According to some very recent news reports, Andy Murray’s website has reported that he will continue to train under Alex Corretja for the next tennis season as well. The website has also reported that these days the Englishman is busy in training for the
upcoming season and is very keen to keep his winning streak alive.
The website has stated that Corretja and Murray are busy to schedule the upcoming matches in the beginning of the next year. Murray has always been enduring physical fitness problems but according to some media critics, Alex will prepare Murray in a better
way and will help him well to improve his physical fitness level. The website of Andy Murray has also stated that Corretja and Andy are working hard to practise the finest way possible for the each tournament in the upcoming tennis season.
It is also reported that the former world number two Andy Murray will also be assisted by his old friend Dani Vallverdu. Now Andy Murray is eyeing to take part in the new season’s opening Hopman Cup, which will be held in Perth in January. It is reported
that Andy Murray will pair with his compatriot tennis star Laura Robson. The Hopman Cup will help Murray to prepare for the first Grand Slam of the season; of-course the Australian Open.
Presently Murray is training hard in Miami and it is expected that he will perform even stronger in the next season. Andy is considered as one of the world’s most aggressive tennis players and this is probably the reason of his dominance over the tennis
court. The two time Grand Slam finalist has always given a very tough challenge to the top tennis players like Roger Federer. Under the coaching to Alex Corretja, Andy Murray will flourish more or not, only the upcoming time will tell but as a fan of this
British ace, we will have to cheer for the best.
