Tennis Village puts fans right in the middle of all the action
The new and improved version of the Tennis Village in Abu Dhabi is now open for business.
The most exciting weekend of tennis in UAE, the Mubadala World Tennis Championship, is just around the corner. In addition, now, with just the last few tickets remaining for the opening day, FLASH Entertainment has finally opened
the Tennis Village to the public.
The new “Interactive Tennis Zone” has been made in an attempt to add a little extra value to the trip that many, from all over the world, have made to watch the tennis event. The Village will be opening everyday at midday and is
free for all.
A special feature included in the tennis zone is the chance to test your serve speed against some of the world’s best tennis players. This has been made possible by the latest technology that is Wii tennis. Other activities include
Autograph booths, face painting, a tennis history wall, Batak games and mini tennis tournaments. All in all, the entire place has been built like a mini Disney World for tennis lovers. It has been designed to give everyone a little taste of all the action.
“Outside the centre court, the new and improved interactive tennis zone will give every fan the chance to pick up a racquet and get involved, regardless of having a ticket for the championship. Our aim for the Mubadala World Tennis
Championship is to inspire people to play more tennis, get more active and have a great time whilst they do it – and the Tennis Village will definitely encourage more people to play,” said John Lickrish, the Managing Director of FLASH Entertainment while explaining
the motivation behind the zone.
The players will also be getting involved with the zone during the tournament. They will be going head to head with the fans in mini tournaments. This will add a personal touch to the entire affair and allow the fans to connect
with their larger than life idols on a more personal level.
So far, it has been revealed that World Number One Rafael Nadal and the record holder for the most Grand Slam singles titles, Roger Federer will be visiting the tennis village, come opening day for autograph signing sessions.
An extra incentive for the aspiring tennis players among us to head to the tournament is the “Master Class”. This will see the tennis stars sharing the tricks of the trade and their personal secrets for success on the courts. So
what are you waiting for? There are only a few tickets up for grabs now.
