  1. ur plan sounds good, but u would have 2 go for a while to make it really big, just a month won't do

  2. don't work out too much man. you need a flexible arm for serving. i am 18 and can serve 120+...and have never touched a weight in my life. you just need to get the most out of the muscle you have; meaning understanding the physics of tennis and working on having no wasted motion, etc. also, you need a coach. you won't have any good strokes without a coach drilling you for countless days. you MUST play every day, cold, hot, rain, shine, whatever. tennis is one of the few games that relies less on athletic ability than on practice. don't overdo the practice though...2 hours on serves will tear up your arm, especially if you don't know the correct technique. i'd say at most you need to serve around 150 serves a day. the other practice should go towards groundstrokes and volley techniques. most of all, though, after you get your basic strokes down, read up on some basic strategy and most of all play matches. matches will teach you how to construct and win points correctly. hope this has helped.

  3. honestly if you want to make it big, 5-6 hours IS NOT ENOUGH. you need to be completely commited to it, you need to live, breath, and sleep tennis. read up on as many strategy and drilling idea books as you can, that can help. then start making notes of good things you find in the book and take it out on the court. well maybe 5-6 hours is enough if you go super hard during those hours, because i remember this professional tennis player who i cant remember the name of only practiced about 3 hours a day but when he did, there was nothing else in the world. so if you ca do that then i say go ahead, but most people cant....working out helps a lot. you really need to build speed and stamina. sometimes matches come down to just who can tough it out longer. so work on that and a little word of advice never let anything get you down, follow your dreams, and WORK. dreams are mostly come true from persperation, not aspiration, remember that. good luck to you adam! :)

  4. oouucchhh...dont over do it, 2-3 hours in the field is enough, let another two for increasing your stamina. esp whne u still a beginner, and if u practice that much dont forget to go to sport doctor. watching games/tournament help increasing ur strategy, and u can see what makes it great and what not to do...u can learn a lot.

  5. A few things I can add.  One how old are you?  Age has a lot to do with it sad to say.

But all that aside think of tennis like any job.  You work at it basically 40 hours a week if you want to be okay and if you want to be the best you normally put in a bit more.  So it would be 6-8 hours days.  5-6 days a week.

Next coaching and tournament play is important.

Tournament play at the junior level.  Getting to your state, sectional and national. Most professional have made it to nationals jr. tourneys and won them.

The Williams sisters were not in the junior and it actually worked to their advantage.  But they are the first I know that didn't really do the traditional route. Depending on where you are in your career you may decided to play high school tennis in hopes of going to college.  Or like some they skip high school play and reach for the big league and turn pro at the age of eligbility.

Coaching is a must. Finding the right and ideal coach is a must.  They need to be knowledeable of where you want to go and how to get you there.  You might even start with a varied about of people who specialize in certain things.  Explore and ask around it's important to get the coach that will move you to your goals.

And lastly practice and have fun!  Its all about the journey.  So if you have fun playing tennis and enjoy the game it won't matter too much where you go with it as long as you are playing it.  It's a wonderful sport as with any sport that prepares you for life in general.  If you have that drive in tennis and understanding of how to strive for goals. Those skills are transferrable everyplace in your life!  Enjoy Adam :)

    IDK ANYTHONG ABOUT TENNIS?

  7. Yeah, about 4-5 hours on court is plenty.

To be a GREAT tennis player, it is 90% natural skill.  If you have it, you have it.

The other 10% is strength/endurance training, mental toughness, and coaching.

  8. You need a coach first off.  Practicing the wrong technique will reinforce any bad habits you have picked up.  As for working out, have you ever seen big armed tennis players?  They are fit but the sport does not lend itself to bulky players.  You need to build endurance and coordination.  Good luck with it.

  9. Above all, you need consistency. You need to get good, but if you are not consistent, you won't make it.

  10. wowwww! u practice A LOT! =D i like ur enthusiasm! i think ur doing great! if u feel like u need to practice more and more professionally competitive, i suggest u practice 1 hour on serving and volley, and 1 hour on forehand and backhand, and 1 hour on other types of hitting and jog arond ur neighborhood about half a mile everyday and go to a fitness center every other day! i hope it helped! good luck!

  11. I think you're doing a really good workout, you'll be amazing. Anyway, I would just focus on a little bit of everything.

Remember to work on your footwork...
