i have this pain when i grip somthine or pick it up and its near my elbow that little muslce near it if i do have it how can i make it heal bc it has been 2 weeks

  1. LAME,  I used to work out all the time and got it in both elbows.  that was 1996.  I did not recognize it for what it was and worked through it for too long.  Now I have it for life.

    Stop all extra activity and see a doctor for  Pro advice.

    As a healthy 200lb guy My Doctor proscribed 500MG of Napricin (Aleve) twice a day with food for a month for another injury a few years back.  Its slow acting and builds up in the system and does the best job at getting rid of Inflammation.

    You can help it out by using Cold Friction therapy.  This was on of my doctors original recommendations.  Massage With Ice cubes until you cant stand the cold anymore, &amp; repeat 3 time a day until you are healed up.  I used the little mouthwash disposable Dixie cups to make the perfect Ice cube maker and applicator.  Once you heal up start your activity back in easily. You can also get these Neoprene bands that Velcro snug around your forearm.  The reduce swelling into the area in the first place during physical activity.  (they do work).

    A recent doctor recommendation has been to take Aleve before I work out If I&#039;ve been feeling any soreness, that keeps inflammation from really setting in.  So I take 2, 200MG Aleve which is 100MG less then the prescription Napricin.  Before I did this I really had to lessen my activity.


  2. It all depends on how fast your body heals. It varies by age, health, location of the injury, etc. When you strain or sprain something the tendon or ligament tears slightly or gets overstreched. Overall the more you move it, the more wear and tear you have on the ligament causing more pain and a longer healing time.
