  1. You most likely do not have lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow) as it is a degenerative injury and usually has symptoms on the exterior of your elbow.

You most likely have a case of mononeuropathy. Mononeuropathy is most often caused by injury, although systemic (body wide) disorders may cause isolated nerve damage. For example, mononeuritis multiplex. Prolonged pressure on the nerve due to swelling or injury can result in mononeuropathy. The covering of the nerve ( myelin sheath) or part of the nerve cell (the axon) is destroyed. This damage slows or prevents signaling through the nerves. The cause of the mononeuropathy should be identified and treated as appropriate. In some cases, no treatment is required and the person gets better on their own.

  2. I've actually got tennis elbow at the moment.

Go to the doctor, they know it right away.

Here my symptoms just so you know:

    - Severe pain when picking anything up

    - Pain radiates on the outside of my elbow joint up my forearm and into my wrist and into my hand a little bit.

    - Pain in the 'funny bone' area..

The doctor told me to take Robaxaset (I don't know how it's spelt.. just how its pronounced) and to make sure that I don't stop moving all together because I could loose my range of motion. Ice seems to help me a lot too. I also have it in a sling part of the time so it doesnt have to bear any weight and so I don't use it accidentally.

Cheers and hope you get well soon.
