  1. I play loads of tennis go to your local athletic club and start lessons and play in local tournaments. It takes loads of practice too. In some areas there are teams at those athletic clubs. Good luck with becoming pro!!

  2. ive played tennis for 6 years and im horrible (i have a few good days) im thinking of getting a personal trainer cause i play for the high school team and they need all the help playing against some of the teams in our district

  3. You have to play in tournaments. Tournament play (amateur) is critical in learning to deal with the various aspects of professional tennis. Joining a club can be a benefit (they all have tournaments) but you can find tournaments in other places too - city  and county parks. If you become good enough you will find yourself invited to play in club tournaments as a doubles partner - trust me. You will find a higher level of play available in a good tennis club but they can be expensive - the best one I was ever at was not (I became a teaching pro there later, BTW). Find out where the best "players" clubs are in your area - find this out from other players. Other than that - train, train, train. You will need both aerobic and weight training these days to be competitive professionally. Sponsorship is available from many companies and you will get various offers depending on the level of your playing ability, if you reach professional levels.

I'd wish you luck but that doesn't have much of anything to do wih it. Go for it!

  4. Well you can certainly find yourself a tennis coach, and train everyday and have him find you different tournaments to participate in. Or  you can do self promotion like me and track your improvements. Sprint and build up your arms for maximum swings. When you've reached a point where you feel like you can challenge anyone, you can start paying for tournaments with small pots (money prizes) and hopefully find someone to sponser you. Yes, some tourneys you will have to travel to..but that's part of the life :) Good luck to you!

  5. practice.
