Tennis playing off pace?

Im usually a pace player who likes to hit heavy flat shots and return heavy flat shots. But, I suck when I play against people who hit it with a lot of topspin or just lob every ball.

So people tell me that Im a "pace player"

Can someone explain that and how to play people that I don't like playing against.

  1. First, you like certain pace.  That's very normal.  Everyone likes certain pace.  Since you don't like slow pace, you will have to adjust your footwork and allow yourself to hit your shot.  Also, be patient.  Try not to hit winners on these slow paced balls.  Try rallying with your opponent and get used to the pace.  That way you will start to adapt to slower pace and you will be a better player.  Good luck :)

  2. patients. wait for the ball and get to it.

tennis is a mental game as well as physical. if you start getting angry or stressed out because your opponent doesnt hit shots you like you lost mentally therefore you wont do as well physically. dont give up and just do your best
