  1. huh???

    15,30,40 are game points.

    3-6 are set points.example 5-3,40-15 being a setPOINT.

its never 4-7 unless its a tiebreaker..it can only be 4-6,5-7,6-7(tiebreakED) ,6-8 etc etc..

  2. the 3-6 and 4-7 are SET's, Looks like from a womens match as they play best of 3, first to 2.

And the second set must have gone to a tiebreaker... Not sure why tho !!

  3. You can read this article to learn how tennis is scored...

    http://tennis.about.com/cs/beginners/a/b...

  4. 15, 30, 40 are POINTS

1,2,3,4,5,6,7 are the number of games...

if a set goes 6-6 you will need a tie breaker.. and the first one who reach 7 points wins the set.. 7 games- 6 games

  5. 15, 30, 40 are points earned during a 'game'.

A player must win 6 games to win a 'set.'

    Sets are scored 3-6 etc.

To win the 'match'  a female player must win 2 sets, ie 6-3, 3-6, 6.4

A male player must win 3 in a grand slam event.

The above is where the saying 'game, set and match' comes from.

    Hope thats clearer.

  6. 15 30 40 are game points

    6-3 6-4 are set points

never seen 4-7 in set points (only in the tie break)
