Tennis question for tennis geniuses and fanatics? Thanks?

I have a few questions I'm curious about. If you could answer all of them, that'd be great. THANKS :)

1. If I play tennis about 6 hours a week, how often should I get new tennis balls?

2. If I play tennis about 6 or 7 hours a week, and I've been playing for 3 months with the same racket and same strings, how often should I change the strings?

3. How much does it usually cost for new stringing? I use artificial, synthetic strings.

4. If I'm 13 and I have small hands, should I use an overgrip?

5. Does an overgrip affect your game? Good or Bad?

Thank you all for your time!

  1. 1. Depends. Just look to see that they're not all cracked and not bouncy. My coach buys new balls like every 1-2 months, and he uses them a lot for lessons.

    2. Depends. Most players change them only whenever they break. If it's natural gut, then they change it when it feels dead from the humidity.

    3. At my local stores, it costs $10-20 for the labor and the synthetic strings barely go over $6 a set. I prefer natural gut and poly and sometimes multifiliments.

    4. Yeah, if your racket handle feels too small.

    5. Yeah, the overgrip distributes more weight to the handle than the head. People sometimes say that overgrips kill the the feel and comfort when hitting a ball. That won't really hurt your performance much, though. I like leather grips for the best feel.

  2. 2. well it depends on how flat your balls get, like if you hit the ball hard a lot it will go flat quicker.

    3. it depends on where you go, i payed 65.25 in Michigan (at a very good place, or well known)

4.i don't and i have been playing for more then 6 years and i am 15

    5. if you are not used to it, i used my friends racket and that messed up my game.

    you are welcome :)
