Tennis racket help!?

I play a strong tennis game big serve, strong volley, big forehand and a slice backhand. I use mostly power but am looking for a mixture of control and power. I play in competitions lots and play regularly!

I currently use a Babolat AeroPro Drive.

But am looking for a new racket.

Any ideas on what racket i should use?

Price isnt an option!

  1. why do you think racket is the problem (or solutions)?

your racket is fine, perhaps tighten up your string tension a couple of pounds, use a thicker gauge string also can help.

power without control is useless.  you need to practice drills, learn how to use topspins both forehand and backhand to create opening for your power flat forehand.

i learned not to blame on the racket 15 years ago.  I used to have every single model racket on the market. i've been playing my old wilson 6.1 for the last 10 years. your form and your ability to handle the shots are more important than equipment.

  2. Well if you really like the AeroPro Drive, you should try the new one with the cortex. I demoed it and found it to be almost identical with a better feel than th original. But if you want to step it up, you could try the Head Microgel Prestige/Radical, the Prince OZone Tour, or my favorite, the Babolat Pure Storm Tour.

  3. If you want a racket like the AeroPro, you will find none better. However, if you are willing to switch to a more tour like racket, I suggest the Head Microgel Prestige, or the Wilson Ksix.one tour.

  4. i am a state ranked junior with a big serve and forehand.  i just switched to the dunlop aerogel 600.  its very light, has a nice sweetspot, and has a good balance between power and control.  it is great at the net- very manuverable.  i had it strung two pounds over with gamma livewire.  order from tennis express- it ships really fast and you can have it strung very cheap.

  5. There are so many great sticks out there for you. If you want to stick with babolat i think you should try the pure storm limited. 95 sq head size. Has some power but mainly you have to create your own power. Also another great stick is the head microgel prestige.

    Good luck
