  1. Choosing racket size and weight has more to do with your playing style and ability than how big you are.

However, since you are 'quite small' and I'm guessing a beginner, I would recommend a light racket (less than 10oz) with an oversized head (more than 100sq. inches).

  2. Go for a lighter and bigger racquet, reason beings are

One: you are a beginner I guess?, a lighter racquet (unstrung weight no more than 290 gr.) with a head size 110 sq.inch for instance will be much easier for you to handle.

Two: You are light, you can easily get injury on your wrist or elbow or shoulder with a heavy racquet. Go for a light racquet with a head heavy or even weight balance.

When you grow out of it gradually you can then change the racquet you use.

    Hoping it helps.

  3. that depends on you.  A heavy racket may feel right for you because you don't need to swing it as fast, or maybe a lighter one would give you increased mobility.

Try out some different types and weights, as for size, i always prefer mid size, or mid plus, they have a smaller sweat spot but more power.

I would say you might prefer a lighter racket, i do and I'm 6' 0 215lbs, so body type really doesn't matter.

If your going to play the net at all, like doubles, or maybe you like to come to net in  singles, you have to have a lighter racket.  And it needs to be a few points head light.

  4. I would say if you are a beginner.....go for a 110" headsize.  The larger head size has a larger sweet spot and thus enabling more control.....if you can hit it in the sweet spot.

I know I am going against the forum post here but BE CAREFUL with a lighter racquet!  You need to remember that mass equals less vibration and enables less swing speed (because of mass) to produce the same results of a lighter racquet.

I have coached several beginners that ran out and bought the wide body SUPER LIGHT weight Head Ti6 when it first came out.  The sales pitch...lighter is better....more manueverable...etc.  However, because of the stiffness of the frame and the light weight several players had shoulder, wrist and elbow problems.

The lighter the frame, the more vibrations which could lead to injuries.  I would recommend no lighter than 10 oz unstrung!  Especially in the beginning it is so important to establish proper technique which will greatly aid in injury prevention!

I recommend seeing a USPTA certified professional to analyze your level of play and make recommendations!

  5. It all depends on what you are comfortable with and your ability
