I am a 15 year old, who plays usta level6/7 tourneys about 3 times a mounth. I also teach/ take clinics about 5 days a week. Anyways, i currently use a prince o3 orange which costs about $100. When i go to these tourneys it seems like almost every player has either a wilson k factor or a babolot. Do you think if i bought a nice $200 raquet it would help my game? I'm a solid baseliner singles player who hits alot of topspin. any suggestions?? thanks

  1. You my friend need a tweener racquet. I have many students at your level and i often recommend the Yonex RDS 002 it has a slightly thicker beam width and lighter weight of this RDS model lends itself well to intermediate level play. its good for Advanced players looking for a very maneuverable racquet offering a controlled level of power will also find lots of playability from this one. The lightweight and open string pattern makes spin easy to generate and players needn't be strong to develop plenty of racquet head speed. We found some good pop on flat serves as well as good slice and topspin when needed. Easy to get around at net, the RDS 002 is a solid choice for doubles players looking for a maneuverable racquet that packs enough pop to deal with those tough volleys from the mid-court. Well suited to players who like to hit with spin and generate fast racquet head speeds. Best suited to 3.5 to 5.0 NTRP level players.

its roughly 180$ Its an improvement type of racquet and it works wonders for my juniors

    Goodluck!

  2. Well the babolat AeroPro Drive is naturally designed for players with quicker swings like nadal and the kfactors are mostly designed for control----For mainnly Big Hitters

Im not going to tell you what you should get because i am not you.... but I will ask you to try some demos from your local shop or from sites like tenniswarehouse.com or midwestsports.com

It does sound like the AeroPro drive is right for you but only you can make that decision

  3. i think you should get a tour racquet. probably you need to start looking at Head Microgel Prestige Pro or Wilson K Factor KBlade Tour. also invest in good coach to help with your stamina, techniques, and more importantly, mental. hope it helps :)

  4. Depends what you like.  Just because it is more expensive does not mean it is better.

  5. get a Babolat Pure Drive. I have one and it is VERY reliable and I play from the baseline. Also get babolat strings because they will hardly break even if you're andy roddick haha.
