  1. My return is pretty good and I think it is because I hit with heavy top spin.  I can hit harder and the ball will drop suddenly right at the baseline then bounce high.  If I hit it too flat there is not enough top spin to bring the ball down and it will land outside the baseline.

This is on top of positioning for feet and body correctly before contact is even made of course :-)

  2. -shorten your back swing

-bend your knees and keep low to the ground for more support

-hit the ball on the rise (otherwise the ball will bounce over the top of your head, espiecally if the ball has topspin on it), when you do this, you need to keep your eyes on the ball the whole time

  3. dont take a full backswing

  4. 1. Position your feet.

    2. Short backswing

    3. Stay bent through the shot

    4. Finish the follow through out in front of your body

    5. Catch the ball on the rise if possible

    6. Try not to put a crazy amount of spin on the ball, just block it back like a half volley.  The power coming towards you will be reflected back at the ball.
