Tennis season 2011, an act of Terrorism – Tennis Special
The Barclays ATP World Tour Finals gave a concluding note to the 2011 tennis season and an ending that looked more like revenge and a fight for pride rather than just a game. The year has been truly exciting and full of events that have shook the world.
This year, players have evolved more like terrorists, suicide bombers and target killers. Regardless of the extremes, each player has somewhat, shown a characteristic of a most wanted criminal. Yes! This might seem odd but let’s be honest, hasn’t the top Serb, Novak Djokovic bombed the top seeds? Has or has not the tallest American, John Isner had Weapons of Mass Destruction??
Well these are just two. Consider Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and compare him with ‘Muamar Qaddafi’. As Qaddafi was planning to introduce new currency, this guy here, Tsonga, is introducing for the first time ever, “lunging dive volleys!!!” this is insanity! Though he is less experienced and learning he does not fear to take down the great one and surprisingly...HE DOES!!!
The comparison does not end here; we had seen the search for Weapons for Mass Destruction by the Americans in Iraq. And they never found any, why?? Because John Isner was using them in Winston-Salem Open!!!
American's search for the culprit who brought down the twin towers, The World Trade Centres, continued. Some say they have killed their man, some say it has vanished into the oceans of the world...however, you have been blindfolded!!! That person has brought down two more towers, Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer, who stood at every circuit in tennis!!! Yes the man is the 24-year-old Serbian, Novak Djokovic.
Another mystery resolved hails from the Carribean. We all are well aware of the name ‘Che Guevara’ and we know he was an Argentine and was a freedom fighter. Some say he vanished and some say he was killed; however, the truth is...he had a wrist injury in 2010, made his comeback in 2011, changed his name to Juan Martin Del Potro, and is now ripping apart every so called authoritative leaders of the board!!!
The real story of this year unfolds and ends at this very moment. All of the above characters that relate to political encounters have made their departure from this world, there stands one man who has the guts of steal. Weak in physical power but with an iron will. Mahmoud Ahmedinejad plays tennis with the name no other than Roger Federer!!! The great Maestro is old but the older he gets, his will to win is multiplied and has a mammoth desire to keep winning. No matter if it’s Djokovic or the king of clay, Rafael Nadal, with every game he still thinks he is improving.
Nevertheless, the 2011 season has certainly been an epic journey for most of the players. Top positions have switched and almost whole new lists of top 10 are going to make a start in 2012. Considering the level of these players, it is seems unsure who would top next season as all of the top 10 have been beating down each other giving their fans matches that made eyes...freeze to the TV.
