Hi,

Are there any tenpin bowling fans out there? Do you bowl in a league or just for fun. Are you keen enough to get instruction?

  1. I have been bowling for over 26 years, of which 12 was as a professional bowler.  I currently bowl for fun with my sons in a jr./adult bowling league but have had bowled in various scratch and handicap leagues in the past.

I'm still learning the sport after how many years, but it's a sport that is difficult to master just like golf.  I am self taught, but have taken lessons and PBA classes/clinics from teaching professionals and certified bowling coaches.  Even though I'm advanced in the sport, I never give out tips or advice (not even to my sons) because the usual result would be to spread my bad habits on the lanes to other bowlers.  Also, when I learned how to bowl, I never listened to others unless they were certified.  That's how I became a good student of the sport.

I have:  12 "300 games, of which 11 were sanctioned by the ABC/USBC/PBA, 17 "700+" series and two "800+" series, in addition to two PBA tournament cashes.

  2. I have been bowling tenpins for about 26 yrs now. League bowling can be fun if you dont take it too seriously. I enjoy bowling mostly for the competition. I also bowl in tournaments which is a great experience. I do not coach but have given tips to people when asked.

  3. just for fun with mates and usuallly to show off to get female attention lol
