  1. I bet you are right.  Try stretches for the lower back-  the muscles actually run up to the neck and that effects he neck muscles which pull on the muscles on the back and side of the head and usually give a one sided headache.  If it goes on long enough --You go to bed with them, you wake up with them and you have hard time sleeping because of them.  Core body exercises will work out this problem.  Medications aren't much help.

  2. i used to get migraines during races last year...just drink more the night before and the whole day before you run and then i was fine, i was just dehydrated

  3. Me and my teammates also get those after races however, we only get them after we've run great times for ourselves. My teammate went 1:59 in the 800(high school sophomore) and collapsed at the finish because he had such a bad headache.

  4. Sometimes a headache can be a sign that you're dehydrated and as you've put on weight since you last ran you might need to take more water on board now.

  5. Dehydration might be the problem. After intense races I'll have headaches sometimes, but if I drink a lot of water and eat a meal it will usually go away. A basic cool down after your run is also important.

Also, if you just came back to running don't expect to be able to hop back to the performance level you were at before, it'll take time to rebuild the muscle/endurance.

  6. Stretching--- and drinking water.  If you do not drink enough water, it will definitely cause headaches.  Whether it is hot out or not.  Drinking water will for sure help with headaches, I speak from personal experience.
