The chain makes a 37 degree angle with the x axis at the endpoints.

    where

    T = tension in the chain = 25 N

    m = mass of the chain

    g = acceleration due to gravity = 9.8m/sec^2

    Substituting values,

    (2)(25)(sin 37) = m(9.8)

    Solving for "m",

    m = (2)(25)(sin 37)/9.8

    m = 3.07 kg.
