Question:

Tent-only campsites in Holland?

Hi

Am looking for a campsite somewhere near Utrecht (but that's not essential) where only tents are allowed; no camping cars / motorhomes.

No dogs or children would also be a bonus, but perhaps that's to much for which to hope.

Preferably as quiet as possible with minimum facilities.

Thanks in advance

  1. try Natuurkampeerterren . I have not used thenm but they seem to be what you ( and I ) are looking for , I should have been going this month but something on .I think that is what you are looking for . I was talking to a Dutch guy recently and there is a sub groupof the above called sun and life who have some special sites where there is no smoking no drinking no further info. though . Edit - you could go over to Terschelling ( Islands )the camp sites there are quiet and I don't think vehicles can go over there , pedestrians only , lovely beach take a kite ., ferry from Haarlingen .

  2. The best campingsites for that are natuurkampeerterreinen. (Nature camping sites)

Check this website for information about where the places are, what they are etcetera. You need to get a membership, but it's pretty cheap and you can get it online I think.

I used to go there but it's years ago, but I really liked them. A lot of nature, very quiet, mostly these are small and beautiful places. Cars may go there, but most often only for arrival and departure.
