  1. Tents are cheaper and you will be close to nature, but it is usually hot at the beach and there is no air conditioner.   Another problem with a tent at the beach is the amount of sand you end up with inside the tent.  A lot of campground have pools, and plenty of activities to do, so that is a plus for camping.

In a hotel you have air condition, a nice soft bed, a bathroom. Campgrounds can sometimes be expensive, so you may be able to find a cheap motel for only a few $$$ more than a campsite.

We do tent camp, but not at the beach.  So to answer your question, I'd rather sleep in a hotel at the beach, but if I were going somewhere cooler (like mountains) I'd like a tent.

  2. I would rather sleep in a hotel, without any doubt. The risk of getting robbed in a tent is much higher and you can't really look forward to a good night's sleep in a tent since it's much less comfortable. The only benefit is probably that it's much cheaper to stay in a tent.

But camping is fun if you're with friends in a safe place!

  3. Tent, I love staying out in the outdoors and just enjoy life :). I love being able to just relax maybe make some smores with friends, tell scary stories, and have a big sleepover. Hotels are fine but I've had bad experiences with them ( Fire Alarm went off at 3:00 AM and it was a false alarm.) Plus even though I like how I can have my privacy and room service and just be a lazyass all day, camping is just great for good exercize, fun nights with friends and even more variety of activities to do!
