Tequila tasting?

would love to sign the hubby up for a tequilla tasting. Anyone know where I might be able to find one in the Hartford area. Thanks for the help

I'm not sure how far Greenwich is from Hartford though.

I also recommend going to mexican restaurants and having flights of tequila. Maybe 3 or 4 different brands of blanco's, reposado's, añejo's or maduro's. Or do flights of a blanco, reposado, añejo & maduro of one brand. Paired with sangrita. Most mexican restaurants will offer them.

I like the suggestion about doing it at home.  I was just in mexico and we had something called "sangrita" on the side of our sipping tequilla.

In Mexico, order a "completo" and you'll be served two tall shot glasses: one of tequila and one of sangrita. Not to be confused with "sangria" (the fruit-laced wine beverage), sangrita is a vivid red, tangy drink made to be slowly sipped, alternating with sipis of a good quality tequila. (Sangrita means "little blood.")

My Sangrita

4 dashes of hot sauce

4 dashes of worshteshire

1 shot of tomato juice or clamato

1 shot of orange juice

the best tequilla i had was don julio.  it's 99.00 per bottle.
