Terceira, Azores, Portugal from Oakland, CA, USA?

Question

I would like to know if anyone is familiar with flights from Oakland to Terceira. I know that Suntrips used to do them as charters, but now the link goes to Azores Express, a SATA company. I found SATA to be very unreliable when I used them within the Azore Islands.

1) Does the trip make a stopover? If so, where?

2) How long is the flight? (Flight schedules make it seem like eleven hours with one stop, but there is no information about stopovers)

3) How uncomfortable is the flight? I've traveled 11 hours to London from the US numerous times and they have all been very uncomfortable.

I think sata is great from Canada to Portugal. better food and drinks.
