Stanislav Cherchesov believes that his side has become stronger in the Russian Premier League despite not buying star players in the summer transfer window
Russian Premier League underdogs, Terek Grozny, have witnessed a terrific start to the league campaign after recording six wins, one defeat and a draw since the start of the Russian top division this season.
However, to the much delight of the Nohchi fans, the Chechens managed to win their last five games including their land mark win against the defending league champions Zenit St. Petersburg, last weekend.
Stanislav Cherchesov has hailed his team’s mentality and urged them to extend their decent run by winning the upcoming league encounter against Lokomotiv Moscow at Akhmad Arena on Saturday.
And while teams like Zenit and Anzhi Makhachkala signed famous yet expensive players during the summer transfer window, Cherchesov believes that his team proved that winning depends on team’s mentality rather than heavy spending.
The Meshki signed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 for reportedly 100 million Euros while the Makhachkala-based club invested on players like Lacina Traore, Lassana Diarra and Ewerton from Kuban Krasnodar, Real
Madrid and FC Braga respectively.
“We are totally focused on preparing for the game against Lokomotiv and will do everything to continue with our successful run in the league by keeping the first place in the standings. The team looked decent in the first eight
rounds but there are still 22 rounds.”
“My http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 as a coach is to create a natural competitive environment and maintain it. I admit that some of my personnel decisions may seem obscure. But I've only tried to make decision for competitive reasons. The club will not buy
top stars. But we will try to become stronger together.” The Soviet Top League winner was quoted as saying.
The former Spartak Moscow boss assured the fans of an entertaining game against the Moscow-based club and urged the fans to get behind them in a difficult league meeting at home.
Cherchesov warned his side against complacency, saying that the Railroaders can spoil their party at the weekend.
