Teresa Perales snares Women’s 100m freestyle gold – 2012 Paralympic Games
Teresa Perales of Spain snared gold medal of the Women’s 100m freestyle in S5 category on tenth day of the swimming events at the 2012 London Paralympic Games in Aquatics Centre on Saturday, September 8.
The Spanish swimmer went home swelling with pride as she occupied gold medal of the 100m discipline on concluding day of the Games.
With her relentless efforts, she earned a comfortable lead over her opponents throughout the discipline and surfaced on the finishing wall as top finest swimmer by producing a time of 1 minute and 18.55 seconds.
The champion was followed by Natalia Prologaieva of Ukraine, who stayed 2.02 seconds slower from her and touched the wall with a timing of 1 minute and 20.57 seconds for silver medal.

Silva remained nearly 7.50 seconds faster from Katalin Engelhardt of Hungary, who completed her race in eighth place by posting a time of 1 minute and 36.91 seconds.
