i want to know the implications of terms and conditions of employment for both the employer and employee. what are the advantages and disadvantages of having terms and conditions.

  1. Terms and conditions provide a common set of rules that govern employment.  In different cases, they can protect both the employer and the employee.

    The advantage of having them is that there is a set of rules...  both parties know what to expect from the relationship.

    The disadvantage is that they are often skewed in favor of the employer's rights, and are generally non-negotiable.


  2. They are usually to the benefit of the employer. However if there is a union agreement that is often written to the benefit of the employee.
