Question:

Terrestrial Resource Plan?

I have an assignment due for my science class tomorrow. I need to:

Choose a terrestrail resource issue and include

-a brief description of the terrestrail resource issue

- a management and sustainment plan for the terrestrial resource

- challenges or implications of your management and sustainment plan

Please, can anyone give me any ideas on what to do, and what my plan should be. I need to put it all in a 5 -7 slide power point.

Thanks

  1. You could use the resource that every single one of us needs: water. In the future wars will be fought over it, not oil. Not everyone drives, but everyone certainly drinks. It is something we cannot live without. There are already several methods of obtaining freshwater form otherwise useless saltwater. Researching our water problems would take no time at all.

But I don't know if that is considered a terrestrial resource or not. Is terrestrial resource referring to found on land or in land?

If you're wanting something like that, choose one of the metals we use a lot, like gold or iron, and research them. We are going to run out (sort of) of natural deposits for them someday, but scientists are probably looking for ways to produce them from methods we have right now so we have to extract as little as possible. Hopefully these ideas will help.

(By the way, water when in its crystalline form, ice, IS considered a mineral, which might help you if you wanted to use it as a terrestrial resource.)
