Terrible viruses--need to remove right away?

It's been awhile since i scanned my computer to get rid of virus. Suddenly now, there's many ad pop up and asked me to scan for virus....It said there are at least 2000 viruses on my computer right now...i've been trying everything, but nothing work....Does anyone know a FREE program that i can download to remove virus? I dont want the want with trial or registration.Totally free and good. Please help me! Now, my computer wont even load....it'ssss realllly slow....thanks so much fro helping!

First off, though it sounds  counterintuitive, viruses and spyware are considered differently in the security community in some respects.  While some programs (Kapersky IS) ill handle both, keeping your machine "clean" is unfortunately not an exact science.

FREE - it sounds as if you're trying to be penny safe and piund foolish.  You've already spent hundreds on your PC, does it make sense to skimp on $40 for a better-than-decent security suite?

You should get and maintain a good AV suite.  You can download any number of useful anti-spyware programs like Soybot or PC Doctor, but they're no substitute for paid protection.

You should also remember only to download from a trusted site (andthe sit'e self assessment of being "legit" is NOT enough).  The likelihood is that you picked up this ad/spyware because you downloaded something because it was free.  How will making another mistake help you?

Follow this guide and it will help you to remove any virus from the computer.  It's very indepth but very effective.  All the programs are freeware or trialware so you won't need to worry about paying for them.  Most important programs amongst them are Spyware Doctor, Malwarebytes and Spybot:

There isn't really 2000 viruses btw. It's a fake scan.
