Question:

Terrific books/sites on understanding ECONOMICS?

With gas going up, a weak US dollar, recession, and such I'm very much interested in the dynamics of all this. If i'm not mistaken it all has to do with economics?

If that is the case, or not, i would like to find a easy to read book/website on economics. Any suggestions?

  1. The Economist does a great job of explaining current news stories from an economic perspective.  For example, last week they did a briefing on oil prices.

  2. I really liked 'Naked Economics' by Charles Wheelan and 'Basic Economics' by Thomas Sowell. You don't need a background in econ to understand the books, they are written for layman. I also read these sites everyday:
