  1. I understand- but trust me travel is worth it! Maybe you should start out with a tour. I went with EF College Break during my first travel abroad- and it was amazing! It was nice to be backed by a huge company,  and you can get insurance too. As for the plane ride, thats just a fear you will have to get past. And if you go to europe, there is less mother nature, and more gorgeous buildings. I was not terrified my first time, but you really should travel, because it is such an enriching experience. Why don't you take a friend with you? If you want to check out the tour I went on just google it. I also have a discount code for it too if you like them, its hesseln1188 and it  gives you $50 off. Good luck! But perhaps take baby steps? Take a hike..go to another part of your country...and so on.

  2. Don't worry so much, and just do it.  Think of how you will feel in 20 years time when you don't have the time to travel any more, you will regret that fear of the unknown held you back.

I took 8 months out in 1998-1999 and travelled around the world, and people the world over are all the same.  We all have the same concerns, values, commitments.  its just dressed up differently, thats all. Show respect for the locals and you'll get it back.

Also, the places most of us travel to are geared to accommodate tourists, so you will be well looked after.  I remember getting off a ferry once wondering where I would get accommodation for that night, only to find the pier packed with locals offering us tourists somewhere to stay.

Get your vaccinations,  and stop worrying, just go and see what it is you want to see. Its normal to feel apprehensive about the unknown, but don't let it hold you back.

Illness, mother nature,  and weird people happen at home as well as abroad!

  3. No. Ur probably an alien.

  4. I would also want to travel all over & sometimes also have some fears... I don't think it should stop you from being able to visit all the amazing places there are. I say to research where you want to go, such as which season would be best (mother nature), learn about the culture, and what cities to visit. Also, you can go to travel.state.gov to see any travel advisories. try not to be too afraid because you wouldn't want to look back and regret not going! Good luck! :)
