I never saw either fight but based on what I know I say McGovern by split decesion. Kid Chocolate had great power but McGovern was a better all around fighter though lacked heart. It'd be a great fight

Do u ever pick an easy fight ??? Lol. I have to disagree with the above answerer ''Terrible'' Terry McGovern had a lot of heart but his loss to Young Corbett II  ruined him and the controversial kayo  win of Joe Gans ( Who claimed he threw the fight) was a blemish on an outstanding career that had him end up dying young and with mental problems.

Kid Chocolate went from the streets of Havana to Madison Square Garden, never lost an amateur fight and won his first 20 or so by kayo. After losing to Jackie Berg he really was never the same.

This would be a toe to toe pitch battle and I think McGovern would come out on top by late kayo or dec.
