Terry feels Chelsea can repeat last season’s humiliation at the Emirates
Chelsea are ready to take on Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal side, despite the fact that they in their worst run of form in the past ten years. It has already been a dire month of football for Chelsea, who have drawn their last two games against Tottenham and Everton,
and have been unable to win any of their last five games in the Premier League. Chelsea currently lie fourth in the league, after a blistering start to the season, which saw them score 21 goals in the opening two months of the season.
Manchester United and Manchester City occupy the top two positions in the league, while Arsenal have dropped to fifth after Saturday’s round of fixtures. United won their Boxing Day encounter against Sunderland, while City beat Newcastle United. Last season
Chelsea inflicted a heavy defeat on Arsenal at the Emirates stadium, as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 won the corresponding fixture by three goals to nil.
Chelsea captain http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/John-Terry-c18895 is confident ahead of the London Derby, and says his team could pull off a repeat of last season’s hammering at the Emirates. He spoke to the club’s official website on the eve of the encounter, and said, "We think we can go there
and do what we did last year. If we're not thinking that, we shouldn't be playing. Everyone is in the right frame of mind; it will be two weeks by the time the game comes around since we've played. We're raring to go and want to get off to a flying start."
Chelsea had a fantastic start to their season, as they raced into a five-point lead in October. However injuries coupled with some tough matches now see the Blues in fourth place behind rivals Arsenal and Manchester United. However with the second half of
the season still to come, Carlo Ancelotti’s men have a chance to make up for their mistakes. They will also be hoping to take advantage of any slip ups from the top teams.
Terry also highlighted Arsenal’s defensive frailties, and said, “Defensively they've conceded goals. With our strike force and the threat we pose to opposition sides all the time, one goal and a bit of confidence and everything is looking bright for us again.
It just takes that one thing to set it off, and hopefully a goal away at Arsenal will do that, and we want to get back to keeping clean sheets."
