A trial was called immediately after the European Championships, where Terry and the Three Lion’s team failed to perform.

However, the Blues’ skipper still remains positive for the upcoming season and reiterated that he was now turning his attention to things on a pitch and would put every other distraction of the summer in the past, where it belonged.
"I'm delighted to get back to football, concentrate on what I love doing. I'm very pleased to be here with the side and concentrating on getting fit first and foremost – and cracking away early on in the season."
He also piled praise on owner Roman Abramovich, who personally visits the players during training and gives them reason for optimism.
"He's down at the training ground, he's around the hotel, he wants to know what's going on, what kind of training we are doing. It is really refreshing to see and I think it's good for the new players to see that. You have to [spend]. You look at what other
clubs are doing, what Man City are doing, even PSG who I thought were very good the other day." he said.
Chelsea have strengthened considerably ahead of the new campaign and will be looking to win back the Premier League title from the Manchester clubs, who are likely to be favourites in 2012/13.
