Chelsea’s captain and centre back, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/John-Terry-c18895 has gone on to confirm that he is not worried about his contract situation with the Blues, since he has a year left on his current contract and is confident that something will work out over the coming twelve
months.
With just a year left on his contract, many wonder what the future holds in store for Terry, since it was believed that the centre back is destined to be on his way out of the club, as opposed to getting a new deal with the team. He had been linked with
a number of teams in North http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/America-c38390, and many feel that the move could still happen.
However, Terry seems to be rather calm about things, and has stated that there is no rush at the moment, since there is still a long time to go, before he needs to start worrying about the future and what it holds in store for him.
"People have to realise that I’ve got a year left at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 after this," Terry said in a recent interview. "People have spoken about no new contract and this kind of thing but it’s not even on the agenda at the moment.”
"They may sit down with me once the season has finished and we’ll start talking then. Whether it’s a yes or a no I’ll continue to give my very best until my contract finishes."
This season has not been going according to Terry’s plans, since things have been rather unstable for him. He has been picking up a lot of injuries, and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Branislav-Ivanovic-c7994 seem to be higher up the picking order at the current moment in time.
Despite that fact, Terry is happy with things and is looking to go all the way.
"I have had to focus, dig deep and do a lot of sessions on my own in the gym - which was tough and new to me because it’s the first long injury that I’ve had," he said.
"But I’m fit and I’m well now and that’s the main thing.
"I will continue to do everything I can, whether I play or don’t play, to move this football club in the direction that we want to be."
