England’s wicket-keeper, Matt Prior, has urged the International Cricket Council (ICC) to introduce some reforms for the betterment of Test cricket, as he fears that fan following is declining rapidly and if it remains unchecked, the future of Tests will come under jeopardy.
The 29-year-old is very fond of playing Test cricket and reckons that the five-dayer is still the ultimate form of the game despite ODI’s and Twenty20 gaining wide appreciation from crowds.
Sharing his views with skysports, the Sussex guy said, “I do a little bit because I think Test cricket is the ultimate form of the game and needs to be supported and followed as much as the other forms. I think if we're not careful it will get overtaken, although having said that I still think Test cricket is classed amongst the players as the top form of cricket.”
