Test players with the highest frequency of Man-of-the-match awards (Part 4)
Imran Khan is a living legend and is surely one of the best all-round cricketers the international arena has ever seen. The veteran in his 88 test matches was able to secure 11 man-of-the-match awards - a record that makes him a cricketer who has won one
of the highest frequency of awards in test cricket. If statistics are correct, Khan was awarded with the mantle after every 8.1 test matches.

also encouraged former skipper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Inzamam-ul-Haq-c64383 to improve his game in the 1992 World Cup who later captained Pakistan after the retirement of Wasim and Waqar.
Malcolm Marshall
http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Malcolm-Denzil-Marshall-c73986 is one of the pioneers of world-class fast bowling and one of the best West Indian bowlers till date. Marshall’s regime in international cricket gave birth to what is remembered as the era of the Windies. He perfected swing bowling
as batsmen of Marshall’s era agree that the bowler was an unplayable bowler.
Marshall was by far the finest West Indian fast bowler in the 80’s. He had the ability to bowl with fierce pace, not to forget, his sheer ability to swing the cricket ball. This West Indian bowler is also known for his vicious bouncers. Marshall had a quick
run up coupled with a quick arm action which troubled batsmen as they failed to read his line and length.
In his 13 years of test cricket, the veteran played some outstanding cricket. From the 81 test matches he played in, the veteran bowled in 151 innings. Marshall bowled a total of 17584 balls, out of which 7876 runs were scored - ample proof of how Marshall
was able to maintain a miserly economy rate of 2.68. He also had an amazing strike rate of 46.7 runs per wicket as the veteran had a massive collection of 376 wickets. He also had 22 five-wicket hauls and 4 ten-wicket hauls in a match. Not to forget, his best
of 7 for 22 and 11 for 89 in a match.
Marshall, with a stellar average, is amongst the few test players who were awarded with a man-of-the-match award on 10 occasions. He has made a place for himself in the highest frequency of test players winning the man-of-the-match award, winning it after
every 8.10 test matches.
While keeping in view that test cricket is the highest format of international cricket, the performances of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Muttiah-Muralitharan-c78157 will not be easy to replicate.
