Former Sri Lankan captain, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/KC-Sangakkara-c1779, said on Thursday that the Test series should be a minimum of three-matches as the prolific Test batsman feels two-match Test series always leave the players dissatisfied.

"I don't think five Test series are attractive anymore to TV networks, but I think Test series should be a minimum of three matches. I hope the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 can stipulate that, I don't know if they can," the former Lankan skipper added further.
Sri Lanka are currently trailing Australia 0-1 in the three-match series; however, the hosts have a chance to make a comeback in the series by winning the third and the final Test starting at Colombo on Friday, September 16.
However, Sangakkara has played a lot of series consisting of only two Tests and said that it had always been quite unsatisfying to play in such a series.
The 33-year-old left-handed batsman said that Test cricket is still the pinnacle of game in his viewpoint. The prolific top-order batsmen insisted that there is nothing like the five-day format of the game, adding that this is the only arena where a player
can really make his mark as a cricketer.
"There's nothing like it, there's nothing that comes close to it. This is the only arena where you can really make your mark as a cricketer. If you are successful at Test cricket, that is all that matters I think."
The latest example of Two-match Test series is the one between Australia and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 which has been cut to two games to accommodate the Champions League T20 tournament. The move of the two boards has been heavily criticized by the former Test cricketers.
