Verenium is hoping that if all the tests go well it can begin construction on its first comercial facility. Do you believe in the technology, and how important is this step in the quest to find viable alternatives to oil for energy?

  1. o great....now wood is gonna get subsidized and the price will skyrocket for that too....lol

  2. I have no idea how it works but I would believe in the technology if it is an alternative energy for oil and environmentally friendly.

  3. Yes, cellulosic ethanol is a far more efficient fuel than corn-based ethanol.  There's still some question as to whether cellulosic ethanol will do more harm than good, because it will still require land use change to grow the grop.  The good news is that switchgrass can be grown almost anywhere.  So it's a promising technology.

  4. This will be a boon to the poor  countries.  Now that the big American financial houses have finally managed to link biofuel production to the price of food those countries have suffered horribly.  By the grace of God, this may be the end of it.
