Testosterone produced in adrenal glands?

Its just regular testosterone right? I mean does it just act normally as the other testosterone thats produced in the testes?

  1. Yes. The adrenal glands produce male and female s*x hormones besides mineralocorticoids and glucocorticoids. Testosterone produced in women causes acne.


  2. The adrenals produce DHEA, not testosterone. It is a precursor hormone to both testosterone and estrogen. It then converts to either as needed by the body. Estrogen and testosterone are related and men and women have both, just in different levels.
